Following Christ and our Outward Expressions

Not only must our relationship to God be right, but the outward expression of that relationship must also be right. Oswald Chambers

In this quote of Oswald Chambers we are reminded that being a Christ follower is more than the quiet time we have each day in God's presence but how we act and react in all circumstances.  The hardest part of following Christ is not in the exuberance of the worship experience or in the quiet conversation with God in prayer, but all the other times.

It is however the quiet times in God’s Word and the conversations with God that give you a better perspective on how to react in all circumstances.

Throughout the day I catch myself reacting in ways I know are not God honoring or pleasing but it is only because of the private times with God that I know they are not.

Now the never-ending journey of trying live more like Christ...everyday.
