What are the questions you ask yourself as you plan services? I have seven that can be found here. Lately I have been convicted even more about the content of what makes the final cut for any one worship service. The conviction has led me to be more intentional in what elements are included. I believe we do our congregations a disservice when we:
- use songs to entice an emotional response;
- use only songs that the congregation wants to here;
- and use songs that are theologically shallow.
I want to make sure that our worship reflects our beliefs and that when a guest experiences our services they will have no doubt about those beliefs.
