Throughout any organization there are varying types of meetings that occur each week. Some include a few people while others might include the majority of the staff. Communicating to these various groups or between these various groups becomes the challenge. Recently, in the meetings I lead I have begun to finish the meeting by asking the question: ‘what is the one thing we need to pass on to other teams (departments, whole staff) from this meeting?’ I believe that if this simple question was asked at the end of most meetings and the communication carried out, we would be able to keep more people connected and working toward common goals.
