If you don't ask questions you will not get answers. I saw this quote last week: "Leaders, if you stop asking questions you will run out of answers." One of my life core values is to be a lifetime learner and the older I get the more I realize I don't have all the answers.
I have had the same job description for over 30 years, but each year the job keeps changing. I have to ask questions just to keep up. I might be posing the questions and going out and finding the answers, but I am still asking.
I have been a Christ-follower since I was eight years old, but each day I find I need to learn more about the Christ I follow. As questions arise I look to the sources I know and seek new ones to find the answers: good books, wise Christ-followers and the ultimate source the Bible.
My children are now 23 and 18 but I am still asking other parents who have been through this stage their opinions and advice.
Being a lifetime student will only happen if I am willing to ask questions, not just by watching the world and time go by. And finally this quote from a leader of the last century: "He who will not use the thoughts of other men's brains proves he has no brains of his own."
I am going to keep asking questions, how about you?
