The route below takes us on familiar streets but "we've never done it this way before."
After a week away from our normal starting point we return to 'where we started.'
This week we take a short road trip south on Carl T Jones to Bruegger's Bagels for our starting point.
For this last week of Daylight Savings Time, I am keeping us off poorly illuminated sidewalks as much as possible and on less traveled neighborhood streets.
The route tomorrow keeps us away from sidewalks and dark greenways. It starts with a lap around a portion of the parking lot.
Thursdays come every week so it means a group with mutual interest, running, meet at Fleet Feet Huntsville at 5:30 AM to run five miles.
When I sit down to create the Breakfast Club route each week from Fleet Feet, I am faced with what seems to been infinite possibilities of five-mile routes. Even with all the possibilities I still gravitate back to some of our, or maybe I should say 'my' favorites.
As a member of the Fleet Feet Marathon training group, our plan details the Thursday run as a Tempo Run. This run is a way to practice a 'race pace' for a shorter distance
You can avoid hills when running five miles from Fleet Feet, however, but not tomorrow.
TRUTH...some mornings it would be easy to just roll over and go back to sleep.
BUT...a commitment to a training plan and friends make me...
